Myles Garrett breaks silence, reveals real reason he wants trade from Cleveland Browns

Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett requested a trade from the team earlier this week – a decision that was met with an expected amount of discussion around what would come next. General manager Andrew Berry previously said the team wasn’t going to trade Garrett, so it appears the two sides are in a standoff of sorts as we await to see what the next steps will be.

Garrett broke his silence on the matter in an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show on Wednesday, revealing why he wants out of Cleveland.

I just want to be in a position to play in those big games and win big games,” Garrett said. “And feel like I can make a meaningful impact, elevate a team and take [them] over the top.”

Garrett has won just a single playoff game in his career and it’s clear he wants to spend the rest of his prime playing for a team with real Super Bowl aspirations. There are several contenders that would love to have Garrett on their books – Josh Allen and the Bills spring to mind, as does a team like the Washington Commanders. Regardless, there will be a team that gives Cleveland whatever it takes to get him in order to help themselves take that next step.
