Patrick Mahomes led his Kansas City Chiefs to a relatively easy win over the Houston Texans on Saturday afternoon in the AFC divisional round. On Saturday night, Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was electric in a blowout win over the No. 1 seed Detroit Lions in the NFC divisional round.
While both of these things were happening, the Chicago Bears were sitting at home, trying to figure out who their next head coach will be. It may seem as if these things are unrelated, but when you consider that Chicago was in a prime position to draft both Mahomes in 2017 and Daniels in 2024, it’s understandable that they come up as a topic of conversation when those two passers are advancing in to postseason.
