Bregman has played 21 games at Fenway Park with the Houston Astros, and his stats are borderline insane.
He hit splits of .375/.490/.750 and an OPS of 1.240, which is the highest in any park he’s played at least seven games in. He also hit seven homers, which would be on pace for 54 homers over 162 games. Finally, he’s walked 16 times, and only struck out 17.
So, while Bregman has shown an overall regression in skill, his play at Fenway is otherworldly. If he can routinely play 81 games a season at Fenway, his regression won’t matter for years to come.
Hopefully the Red Sox realize that and sign him soon, so they can check righty slugger off their list and move on to finding another high impact reliever.
