HITC understands that Manchester City have been impressed with the progress of Red Bull Salzburg defender Samson Baidoo.
The 20-year-old defender made his debut for Austria last year and a number of clubs have been trailing him since his breakthrough into the first-team picture at Salzburg.
Baidoo, a ball-playing centre-half who loves to carry the ball into midfield, is now attracting the attention of clubs such as Manchester City – who have been keeping tabs on his progression in the last 18 months.
HITC is told that the scouts at the champions of England are impressed with how Baidoo has improved his overall game.

But Manchester City are not the only watchers of Baidoo, as HITC can confirm that Tottenham and Newcastle have also witnessed him in action this year.
We are also told that Barcelona, Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund are admirers.
Over the years, RB Salzburg have helped progress the game of many top stars who have taken to the Premier League stage.
Erling Haaland is the top striker in Europe after scoring 29 in 27 matches for the Austrian club, whilst Sadio Mane secured legendary status at Liverpool.
Mane played 87 matches for Salzburg, scoring 45 goals and supplying 32 assists, before making his name in the Premier League.

Morgan Gibbs-White is coming off the most successful week of his career.
Capped by England for the first time against the Republic of Ireland, Gibbs-White became the first Nottingham Forest player to feature for the Three Lions this century.
He returned to club duty Nottingham Forest and tasted more history as played a major role in their first win at Liverpool since 1969.

HITC understands that Nottingham Forest are ready to hold talks with Morgan Gibbs-White about a new contract.
The newly capped England international has emerged as one of the Premier League’s most feared attacking midfielders since arriving from Wolves in 2022.
Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo hailed Gibbs-White after his England debut and HITC understands that he has encouraged them to open talks over a new deal.
“It helps, it doesn’t change much because Morgan is always 100 per cent focused,” said Nuno. “But it helps, he is happy, enjoying his football and I see a happy boy. That’s important.
“We, as a club, are very proud, not only for him, but all the players we have seen on international duty. We are delighted for them.”
He was of interest to Newcastle and Tottenham over the summer, but they are not alone in their admiration of the 24-year-old.
