TJ MORIN

Max Fried, Atlanta Braves LHP
Fried is the top pitcher the Sox are going for, and for good reason. He’s a lefty, which they desperately need in their rotation, and he’s had a sub-two ERA in most of his career.
Currently, it’s believed the Sox will need to offer $200 million to get him, which is easily done with some of the money the Sox would have given Soto.
Corbin Burnes, Baltimore Orioles RHP
A former Cy Young, Burnes would be a great addition for the rotation. He is probably going to look for a contract similar to Fried, but like stated earlier, the $700 million for Soto should cover it.
Teoscar Hernandez, L.A. Dodgers OF
Hernandez was the original top hitter target before Soto, and now he is again. A righty that’s capable of hitting 30+ homers, he’s exactly what the Sox need, and could slide into left field nicely. A three-year, $60 million dollar contract would probably serve him well, maybe even a bit higher.
Tanner Scott, San Diego Padres LHP
Finally, Scott could be the lefty reliever the Sox keep for the long run. Sure, they got Aroldis Chapman now, but he’s there for a year, and he’s old. Scott is young and just posted a 1.25 ERA. He could be the future closer for the Sox for years. A four-year, $60 million dollar contract could get him in Boston easily.
With all that added up, the Sox still have $180 million left to go for other people. If they get on it now, they could have one of the best teams in the league next year.
