On Friday, March 14, a report came out that Texas wide receiver Ryan Wingo had undergone LASIK surgery after the Longhorn football program discovered that the young wideout suffered from poor vision.
The Texas staff reportedly noticed that Wingo was suffering from poor vision during offseason workouts, stating he “was struggling with very poor vision.”
Wingo was a star during his true freshman year with the Horns, even while struggling with poor vision, as he excelled alongside his fellow Texas wideouts throughout the 2024-25 season.
