Kyle Schwarber has been a model of consistency for the Philadelphia Phillies.
The latest example of that came in a 2-0 win on Sunday Night Baseball.
The Phillies’ second run came on a Schwarber home run, his 38th of the season. He has now reached 38 homers in all four of his seasons in Philly.
That makes Schwarber the first player in MLB history to hit at least 38 homers in all of his first four seasons with a team, per OptaStats.
Ironically, Schwarber hit 38 homers only once with the Cubs in six seasons, when he hit exactly that many in 2019.
He split 2021 between the Nationals and Red Sox and combined for 32 homers in that campaign.
But then Schwarber came to Philadelphia in 2022 and has slugged ever since.
He hit a league-high 46 homers in 2022. In 2023, it was 47 more.
Schwarber fell to 38 home runs in 2024 while leading the league with 106 walks.
And so far in 2025, Schwarber has 38 bombs while leading the league with 88 RBI.
This so far is Schwarber’s best average season with the Phillies, too, above .250.
He’s 32 years old and could be looking at another team in the future if he and the Phillies can’t reach a contract agreement.
For now, though, he’s slugging for one of the best teams in baseball and won’t want to slow down.
Schwarber could get to 50 home runs for the first time if he keeps this up. And given how consistent he’s been since coming to the Phillies, no one would be against him keeping this up and getting to a milestone number like that.
