In a monumental and emotional moment for the NFL and Cowboys Nation, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and his family have officially announced that Randy White, the Hall of Fame defensive tackle and one of the most iconic players in franchise history, will return to the organization in 2025 — this time as a co-owner.

This landmark decision not only brings one of the most beloved Cowboys back into the fold but also signals a renewed commitment to legacy, tradition, and championship excellence in Dallas

A Legendary Cowboy Reclaims His Place
Nicknamed “The Manster” for his mix of man and monster on the field, Randy White anchored the Cowboys’ defense for 14 seasons from 1975 to 1988. A 9-time Pro Bowler, Super Bowl XII co-MVP, and 7-time First Team All-Pro, White was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1994.

Now, decades after retiring, he’s set to return in a historic role — as a co-owner and advisor alongside Jerry Jones.

“This is more than football — it’s family,” said Jones. “Randy White is one of the greatest warriors to ever wear the star, and having him back with us as a partner is one of the proudest moments of my ownership.”

Randy White: “I’m Home Again”
Speaking at the press conference from AT&T Stadium, a visibly emotional White addressed the crowd and media:

“I’ve bled silver and blue my entire life. To return not as a player, but as a co-owner — to help build this team for the future — is an honor beyond words. I’m home again, and I’m here to win.”
White’s role will include strategic advisory duties, mentorship to current players, and participation in Cowboys’ community and alumni initiatives.

Cowboys Nation Erupts in Celebration
Fans across Texas and the broader NFL world lit up social media with praise, nostalgia, and excitement.

“The Manster is back! Just hearing that name gives me chills. Let’s go Cowboys!” one fan tweeted.
“Randy White was my childhood hero. Seeing him back as part of the ownership team is amazing,” said another.
Even current Cowboys players reacted to the news, with linebacker Micah Parsons tweeting:

“A legend in the building! Can’t wait to learn from the great Randy White.”

What This Means for the Cowboys’ Future
White’s return may spark new energy within the organization. While his ownership stake won’t directly affect day-to-day football operations, his presence as a living embodiment of Cowboys toughness and success is expected to inspire both the locker room and front office alike.

As the Cowboys aim to end their nearly three-decade Super Bowl drought, bringing back a champion like White could be the emotional spark that reignites the team’s championship DNA.

From gridiron gladiator to franchise partner — Randy White is once again a Cowboy, and the journey to reclaim greatness begins now.
