The Baltimore Ravens are slated to have Derrick Henry as their starting running back for the next few years, as the team signed the future Hall of Famer to a two-year extension this offseason that keeps him in Baltimore until 2028.

Though Henry is still a force to be reckoned with and is coming off one of the most productive seasons of his career in 2024, Last Word on Sports’ Anthony Palacios believes the Ravens should look to trade for Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams.

Palacios adds that the move would likely have to happen at the trade deadline, and if Baltimore is struggling by then.

“Perhaps, they [the Ravens] could trade for Williams in the middle of the season if they want to boost their postseason chances. This will only happen if the Rams are enduring a losing campaign,” Palacios wrote.

Williams has developed into a difference-maker for the Rams over the last two seasons, tallying two straight seasons with over 1,000 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns.

The 24-year-old had a career year in 2024, posting career highs in scrimmage yards (1,481) and total touchdowns (16).

With Williams set to hit free agency next offseason, trade rumors could heat up if Los Angeles is hesitant to give him a new contract.

A duo of Henry and Williams in Baltimore’s backfield would be absolutely electric, and as close to unstoppable as it can get. However, it’s hard to envision a world where the Rams let Williams go.

The 2023 Pro Bowler has established himself as a star and core piece of Sean McVay’s offense. Los Angeles likely isn’t ready to move on from Williams anytime soon, so a trade involving the Notre Dame product is unlikely.
