When the Phoenix Suns traded for Cody Martin at the 2025 NBA Trade Deadline, their season was still alive, and no one expected him to be out this long with a sports hernia. More than a month after he and Vasilije Micic arrived from the Charlotte Hornets, Martin may finally make his Suns debut, as his status was upgraded to questionable for Friday’s matchup with the Sacramento Kings.
“Honestly, it’s never a good feeling, working your way out of stuff,” Martin said. “But I think the biggest thing is that’s just part of the game, just bumps in the road and just figuring out how to get over the hump and just worrying about just getting back as soon as you can.”
