Arsenal have had nine academy players called up by England and Wales’ youth teams for the September internationals.
England and Wales recently confirmed their youth call-ups for the upcoming internationals, and whilst Arsenal did receive seven England call-ups, they’re concentrated in just two teams.
The Gunners haven’t received any call-ups from the England u21s, u20s, or u18s, but they do have players in the u19s and the u17s.
In the u19s, new signing Tommy Setford is joined by Ethan Nwaneri, Myles Lewis-Skelly, and Ayden Heaven, all of whom are involved with the side for the first time.
The England u19s will be playing friendlies in preparation for November’s u19 Euro qualifiers.
Then in the u17s, Jack Porter, Max Dowman, and Theo Julienne are all involved. Dowman is still just 14 years old, but he’s playing regular football for the Arsenal u18s, so it’s no surprise to see him involved with England a few age groups up.
The England u17s are playing in the Pinatar International Tournament.
As for Wales, Will Sweet has been called up by the u19s, and Brayden Clarke by the u18s. Both are set to feature in friendlies.
