As expected, Ricky Pearsall’s practice window was opened
The San Francisco 49ers returned to practice on Monday. They have a day off on Tuesday and a few days after a game; you’d assume Monday’s session was lighter.
As expected, rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall’s practice window was opened. The team officially announced the move Monday afternoon. Last week, Kyle Shanahan said he thinks it’ll take a couple of weeks before Pearsall plays.

The Niners have the bye week two games from now and could use the three weeks to ensure Pearsall is comfortable and up to speed.
Running back Jordan Mason was in a blue non-contact jersey after sustaining an AC sprain in his left shoulder during Thursday’s game. It’s a good sign that Mason is on the field. If he can’t play, it’ll be interesting to see whether the 49ers are confident that rookie Isaac Guerendo could handle a bigger workload.
Kicker Matthew Wright was not at practice. He’s dealing with a shoulder injury after a tackle attempt late in Week 6. Jake Moody is out of his walking boot but is still expected to miss a few weeks.
Safety Malik Mustapha was also absent. He left Thursday’s game with an ankle injury. Safety George Odum filled in admirably for Mustapha, but the last thing you want to do is face Patrick Mahomes with your third-string safety.
The only other player to miss Monday’s session was defensive tackle Jordan Elliott, who missed Week 6 with a knee injury.
Charvarius Ward, George Kittle, Fred Warner, and Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles were all participants. Flannigan-Fowles has missed the last couple of games, while Ward sat out of Week 6.
